Dr. Woodlock opened South Beach Dentistry® in 2003 at our current location on Seaboard Road in Virginia Beach.
Dr. Krista L. Woodlock
Dentist
Dr. Krista Woodlock is a native of Virginia Beach and has many family members in the area. She attended First Colonial High School, Lynnhaven Middle School and Alanton Elementary as a child.
Dr. Woodlock graduated with honors from the Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry. She received her undergraduate degree with honors in Chemistry from Virginia Commonwealth University. Dr. Woodlock is an active member of Tidewater Dental Association, Virginia Dental Association and the American Dental Association.
Dr. Woodlock and her staff have been involved in numerous philanthropic missions including Crossover Ministry Clinic, Give Kids a Smile Day, the Jamaica Project and the Eastern Shore Mission of Mercy. Dr. Woodlock and her staff also traveled to New Orleans to provide treatment to Hurricane Katrina victims.
Dr. Woodlock enjoys practicing preventative, restorative and cosmetic dentistry for the entire family. She brings her patients the most current information and techniques in general and esthetic dentistry. Her interests outside of the office include sking/snow boarding, painting, and spending time on the beach with her dog.

Becky Chicella, RDH, BS
Dental Hygienist
Becky has been a registered dental hygienist for over 30 years and has spent the last 15 years taking care of patients at South Beach Dentistry. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in dental hygiene with honors from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She has been licensed in NC, TN, AL, and VA.
Becky is an active member of the American Dental Hygiene Association. She keeps her education current through numerous CE courses, seminars, and is certified to administer local anesthesia .
Becky has been a resident of Virginia Beach for many years. When she is not helping patients with their oral health care, she is busy volunteering at Ocean Lakes High School, spending time with her husband of 25 years, their two sons, and her rescue dog.

Sonia has 17 years of experience as a United States Air Force dental periodontal technician and dental assistant. After leaving active duty, she received her Bachelor of Science degree in dental hygiene with honors from Old Dominion University and has been practicing in Virginia Beach since 2007. Sonia has been building relationships and caring for South Beach Dentistry’s patients since 2010.
Sonia is a retired member of the United States Air Force Reserves. She is also a life time trustee in the Air Force Sergeant’s Association. She has been involved in volunteer work with dental health for children and the Red Cross. When she is not caring for her patients, Sonia enjoys running, golfing and spending time with her husband, three children and her dogs.

Christina Robins
Dental Assistant
Christina joined South Beach Dentistry in May of 2008. She is also a long time Hampton Roads resident and graduated from Kempsville High School. She graduated from Kee Business College in Virginia Beach in 2000.
She is a certified Dental Assistant with a Certificate of Radiation. She has over 20 years of chair side experience as a dental assistant. She is very eager to help patients through any dental procedure with care, kindness and compassion. Christina has a passion for dentistry and loves helping create beautiful smiles for our patients. She is a supportive team member for the patient and the doctor.
In her spare time, she enjoys baking/cooking, motorcycle riding, photography and spending time with her daughter.

Christina joined South Beach Dentistry in May of 2008. She is also a long time Hampton Roads resident and graduated from Kempsville High School. She graduated from Kee Business College in Virginia Beach in 2000.

Stephenie Ford
Insurance and Treatment Coordinator
Stephenie graduated from the Academy of Dental Technology in 2005. She is a long time native of Virginia Beach and graduated from Kellam High School. Stephenie has provided care for South Beach Dentistry’s patients since 2005.
She is a certified Dental Assistant with a Certificate of Radiation. She has over 16 years of dental experience. Stephenie is well versed with scheduling, treatment planning, insurance and billing, as well as dental assisting. She can answer almost any questions regarding patients’ dental treatments. She has a great passion for dentistry and helping people.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. She loves to read and go to the beach.

Kim joined South Beach Dentistry in 2021. Kim has over 25 years of experience in the dental field. She is an expert in patient relations, insurance, scheduling, and all aspects of running an outstanding and efficient dental practice. Kim has also worked as a dental assistant and is a certified x-ray tech, so you may sometimes find her in the “back” performing child cleanings or helping our hygienists with x-rays on our patients.
Kim grew up in Pennsylvania and moved to Virginia Beach in 1995. Kim and her family love the beach and living in the Hampton Roads area! On the weekends, you can find Kim and her family at the baseball fields or spending time with their rescue pup, Bella.
Kim is an integral part of the South Beach Dentistry team who works diligently to ensure every patient receives a positive and excellent experience with their dental care!

Stitch and Nala Woodlock are the mascots of our office. They are both rescue dogs. Nala came on a long journey from Texas and Stitch is from North Carolina. They both have found a great home with Dr. Woodlock and the staff at South Beach Dentistry. Nala and Stitch are lovable and friendly dogs. Many patients (especially kids) love running into them on their occasional visits to the office!

Sadie Woodlock an adorable Shar-pei/Lab mix was South Beach Dentistry’s Office Mascot for 8 years. Dr. Woodlock took on the role as Sadie’s fostermom for Shar-Pei Rescue in 2005. Dr. Woodlock fell in love with Sadie and could not find any home (other than her own) that she felt was good enough for her. Sadie came to the office everyday to greet and comfort patients especially children. Sadie was an awesome dog, lovable companion and loyal friend. Sadie will be greatly missed! RIP our sweet baby girl.
